Picture this: You wake up every day next to your favorite person. All your food is
prepared for you, so you never have to worry about cooking or grocery shopping. You
get to nap whenever you please, and no matter where you are, you’re everyone’s
favorite in the room. That sounds amazing, right? That’s the life of most dogs: sleep,
treats, affection, repeat. Switching places with a lazy dog for a day sounds fantastic, but
have you ever considered what your dog might do in your shoes? Here’s a list of the
top five most common dog breeds and what they would be like as humans.

The French Bulldog

When I picture the French Bulldog with a day job, I see them owning some hip
coffee shop, always loaded up on caffeine. They’re the type to be lactose intolerant but
still have dairy, and they have lots of classic, unpredictable, high-energy, playful
moments. The French Bulldog is the type to be fashionably late, and the friend who
somehow falls asleep literally anywhere (and snores). They have unbothered energy
and do things their own way, like wearing sunglasses at night or going wherever they
want in pajamas.

The Labrador Retriever

The Labrador retriever would have a job that’s a perfect mixture of outdoorsy and fun,
maybe as a tour guide or some theme park employee. They would also be the
type to give hugs and high fives and never forget your birthday. They make dad jokes,
love lake days, and show up to all the family dinners. They are the type to have clumsy
moments and random outbursts of energy.

The Golden Retriever

The golden retriever is a sweet, loving dog that always cheers you up. They
probably drive something beachy and love getting active, no matter the weather. They
are also the type to have a big heart and do anything for a friend. They like going to the
beach whenever they can and will feed the seagulls. I can also see the golden retriever
as the type of friend to be your personal hype man and number one supporter.

The German Shepherd

Naturally, the German Shepherd is some kind of police officer or detective. They love a
good burger from a sports bar and don’t play about their favorite sports team. They take
everything a little too seriously but still manage to have fun. They are very loyal friends
and protective of the people they love.

The Poodle

The poodle must be some kind of model or fashion guru. They are also the high-maintenance, sophisticated friends, and they swear they follow a strict diet but have
junk food hidden somewhere. If the poodle had a star sign, they would be a Leo. They
also love a good night out but refuse to go too crazy because the poodle is classy.

At the end of the day, maybe the real magic of being a dog is all about the lazy days,
but it’s fun to picture what your dog might do as a human. Anyway, it’s probably a good
thing dogs don’t have jobs because they would realistically just eat everyone’s lunch
and still manage to get promoted.
