Finally, it’s starting to get cold out, which means it’s time to switch out the wardrobe and get ready for the chilly days ahead! Not only do you want to start wearing clothes that make you feel nice and good, but you probably want something that makes you look good too. Now I’m no fashion show runway superstar, but I am a guy, I wear clothes, and I have the internet to find out what all the hype is around men’s clothing. With that said, here is a collection of outfits that you can build together for the Fall!
Color Palette

With every season or holiday, you usually want to match the vibe that it comes with. For example, you may associate pastel colors with spring and Easter. For Fall, the aesthetic calls for more earthy colors, such as darker greens, browns, tans, maroon, burgundy, black, and even dark yellow colors. Basically, look outside and see what color nature has turned and match it with the leaves.
Tops
You don’t want to get cold out, so it’s important you cover up. The most iconic Fall shirt I can think of is a flannel, and it is still being pulled off today. Whether you decide to button it up to stay warmer or use it as a layer with a shirt or hoodie underneath, flannels are a basic essential when making a fall fashion fit.

My personal favorite types of shirts to wear in the breeze are sweaters and sweatshirts. Whether they are plain or have fun designs or logos sewn onto them, sweaters are a very fashionable shirt that can look good and keep you cozy. Many students on campus may have joined a fraternity or are a part of some club with an embroidered sweatshirt that you would like to represent, and you certainly can, and make it look outstanding. A nice style combo you can add to your sweater is adding a collared shirt underneath and letting the collar stick out of the top.
If you don’t think you have shirts or sweaters to pull off, then you can simply wear a nice hoodie or jacket to do the trick. Hoodies are a very popular article of clothing, and just about everyone owns at least one. The style is to wear baggy clothing, and hoodies are great at capturing that look. Not only are they fashionable, but they also keep you warm and come with a hood to cover your ears or head from rain. Jackets can work the same way as a mix between a hoodie and a flannel. While losing that pattern, you can style a jacket to zip a certain amount to show layering in your clothes, and provide warmth and a hood. Carhartt jackets and thick jackets of that sort are also very popular now.

Pants
Baggy, baggy, baggy. You can pull off about anything this year as long as it is baggy. This is not the early 2000s; we have moved on from trying to wear skinny jeans. Baggy pants can fit everyone well, no matter your height or body type. I say pants as a broad term, but if you’re looking for more specifics, I would recommend jeans, sweatpants, and cargo pants. I actually own a pair of cargo pants that are made of corduroy that both look and feel amazing, so I would recommend trying out a pair for yourself. Pairing a nice pair of pants with some of the tops listed before and a matching pair of shoes or boots should secure you with a fire fit.
Accessories
While you may have just added some of these clothes to your Shien cart, you’re not done yet. What makes an outfit really stand out is how you accessorize it. This is where you can be as creative as you want and add some things that both look good and express a little about yourself. First, find out whether you’re a gold or silver kind of guy, and then bling yourself out. Necklaces, chains, rings, bracelets, watches, and any kind of jewelry you have will automatically add more style to your outfit. Some guys are hat guys, whether they just like them or are trying to cover something (man to man, it’s okay,) and hats can be a stylistic choice. I personally prefer to wear a beanie. You can try to go down the performative route and wear your wired earbuds, tote bag, Labubu chain, and guitar on your back if you’re into that.

These are just some ideas of clothes guys can try out if they are looking for something new to try or just to see what is in fashion right now. The way someone dresses can be a major representation of them as a person, and their style is how they wish to express themselves. Next time you’re shopping for the season, it wouldn’t hurt to try and change things up a bit and try something trendy to wear.
