Throughout the Year, I have listened to various artists in varying genres. I have found I typically stick to certain ‘comfort’ artists, which have been repeated in my Spotify history for years. The following are the artists I think will make it on my “Top 5 Artists” this year.
“Top 5 Artists”
The Weeknd
Reasoning: I have listened to him since I was in 6th grade and for the past two years I have listened to him religiously. With that in mind, I have no doubt he will be my number-one artist yet again.
Sabrina Carpenter
Reasoning: This year I got more into pop-music, or whatever genre her music is in. I even had the privilege to see her in concert. If Sabrina isn’t second she is definitely in the top 5.
Sexyy Red
Reasoning: It’s Sexyy Red, what else is there to explain?
Christ Stapleton
Reasoning: He is one of my comfort artists, one that I have been listening to for years. I may be more into pop music and R&B but I have a soft spot for his music.
Morgan Wallen
Reasoning: This one is somewhat of a stretch, as I truly have no idea who else could be on my top 5. I decided to include Morgan Wallen because last year my most played song was “Everything I Love” by him.
Top 5 Songs
When it comes to listening to songs, I have a toxic tendency to listen to a song I’m currently obsessed with on repeat until I get tired of it. With that in mind, my top-played songs could be anything. Here is my best guess of what my most played songs could truly be.
- Tell Your Friends by The Weeknd
- You look like you love my (feat. Riley Green) by Ella Langley
- Oscar Winning Tears. By RAYE
- Good Graces by Sabrina Carpenter
- Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Favorite Music Genres
This one is easy for me, as it sums up my top 5 artists and songs.
- R&B
- Pop
- Pop Country
- Classic Rock
To sum up, I have made what I would call a “non-calculated” guess about what these topics could be. I chose to focus on the main criteria from Spotify Wrapped. I hope to have some similarities when I do get my Wrapped for this year, though if it is vastly different I’ll say it is a nice insight to my music choices.
